    Abu Dhabi authorities have begun construction of 15 mosques in various parts of the emirate including Al Ain and Al Dhafra, in collaboration with Modon Properties. This follows the recent handover of five mosques as part of a total of 20 being built.

    Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has started testing the different uses of the four-legged Spot Robots in its internal operations, becoming the first utility in the region to use this robot, developed by Boston Dynamics.

  • Egypt plans to build 765,000 homes over next three years

    $10.3bn INVESTMENT
    Egypt is set to build a total of 765,000 housing units over the next three years across the country at a total investment of E£165 billion ($10.3 billion). Of this, nearly 100,000 homes will be completed during the 2020/2021 fiscal year, said a report.

  • Work on UAQ waste-to-energy plant nearing completion


    Work is nearing completion on a waste-to-energy plant coming up over a 400,000-sq-m area in Umm Al Quwain (UAQ). Once operational, it will process the waste generated in the northern emirate and in Ajman for producing power for cement plants.
