Expo Centre Sharjah to host 11 events in H2

UAE, August 7, 2017

Expo Centre Sharjah, a premier exhibition organiser and events venue in the region, has announced that it will organise and host 11 economic, cultural, and commercial exhibitions in the second half of 2017, said a report.

The first event on the agenda kicks off on October 3, and the last event ends on December 16, reported state news agency Wam.

In the first half of 2017, the centre hosted 9 various events, it said.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said that the centre has realised its objectives for the first half of 2017, as its events attracted more than 300,000 visitors from the UAE and abroad.

These figures represent about 2 per cent increase in the number of visitors compared to the same period last year.

Al Midfa also pointed out that most exhibitions which will be organised or hosted have grown in terms of space and the number of exhibitors, including governmental and private bodies and companies.

He also emphasised that participation at local and international events has become a priority for many institutions aspiring to introduce their products, programmes, and solutions to new markets, or to expand and promote their businesses in the UAE and the region.

Al Midfa also noted the importance of the strategic location of Sharjah, which provides companies access to the neighbouring markets.
