A number of infrastructure and developmental projects have been launched in the UAE's East Zone by Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, a Wam news agency report said.

The projects include a scheme to develop a network of roads linking the East Coast cities through the Khorfakkan West Ring Road at a cost of Dh150 million ($40.84 million). The minister also opened the road linking Sheikh Khalifa Highway in Fujairah and Khatam Malaha as well as E99, or the East Coast Road.
