Al Shafar Interiors names managing director

DUBAI, June 11, 2017

UAE-based Al Shafar Interiors (ASI) has appointed Mazen Kaba as the new managing director, ushering in a new strategic focus on increased diversification and future growth.

A subsidiary of Al Shafar General Contracting, ASI said Kaba brings with him more than two decades of senior leadership experience.

Having supervised the delivery of numerous multimillion-dollar projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Angola, and Syria, Kaba will be involved with key ASI projects in the region, said a statement from the company.

This will include projects under the Al Shafar General Contracting umbrella as well as collaborations with other leading contractors. Some of the high-profile projects include Green Community Phase Two and Three, Bluewaters Island Residential, and La Mer Open Beach Retail.

Bishoy Azmy, the chief executive of ASGC, said: "With such a strong background in our area of expertise, Kaba was the ideal choice to lead the interior arm’s operations towards achieving our present and future goals."

"His track record of delivering high-value projects to impeccable standards is well-aligned with our mission to develop world-class interiors, and we have every confidence in his abilities as managing director of ASI," he added.

On joining ASI, Kaba said: "It represents the values that I most appreciate in a company: a commitment to quality, cutting-edge solutions, and global best practices, with designs that are uniquely crafted to client expectations."

"In my new role, I aim to bring even greater value to both our brand and our customers by pursuing new techniques of working, diversifying our capabilities, and harnessing the myriad of opportunities that we believe Expo 2020 will open up for our field," he added.

Diversification is a key consideration for ASI, as the company seeks to boost its capacity for customisation by entering new business lines and bringing highly-talented professionals into the company.

This, along with increasing operational efficiency and introducing new technological advances and manufacturing methods, will now be driven by Kaba.-TradeArabia News Service
